Winner of the Wreck Category for the 2023 Underwater Photographer of the Year contest.
I’m incredibly honored to win for the Wreck category. The competition for the UPY contest is absolutely fierce and brings out some of the world’s best under water photographers. To be included in that group of talented individuals is amazing.
The contest is also interesting because the photos are anonymized before being judged so the judges have no idea how deep or complex the photos are.
I believe this is the first time that a photogrammetry model has won the wreck category. They have placed before, but never won.
