We have a new find!
No, it isn’t that USS Griswold (DE-7)!
This is our very own Griswold (named after Clark Griswold) and not the USS Griswold. He was Launched (born) on 23 Dec 2024 and Commissioned (we took him home) on 7 Mar 2025 and he had a Displacement (weighed) about nine pounds when we got him. We have had him a month as of today.
Griswold loves to go “dumpster diving” searching in his toy basket:
The first few weeks have been a bit rocky but this is our second Frenchie so we are well aware of the idiosyncrasies of them. 🙂
I got to dive the USS Hogan yesterday on the Marissa which was a nice reprieve. We had beautiful surface conditions but visibility was poor at the surface and “okay” at depth. I really enjoy diving the Hogan. I didn’t see any wolf eels this trip but saw plenty of massive ling cod.
Diving will be a bit limited for the next few weeks as we continue to get Griswold settled and on a schedule but I have plenty of cool trips and projects planned in the next few months. Stay tuned …

Congrats!
Welcome aboard, Griswold!
He’s a cutie!
Congrats on the new adoption! I have an English bulldog but frenchies are cuter!
Thanks, Didier!
