I will be presenting the keynote at the 55th Annual California Wreck Divers Banquet on 16 May 2026 at Dive ‘N Surf in Redondo Beach. I presented two years ago and it was a lot of fun and camaraderie.
The topic this year will be “Southern California Tales of Mystery & Aviation” which will cover some of the cool and interesting aircraft wrecks that we are still working to identify.
If time permits, I will also read a draft chapter from my upcoming book, Aviation Wrecks of Southern California. The chapter will be about the tragic tale of two aviators who lost their lives while flying a tow flag for target practice from a SBD Dauntless.
